OK, so I know they only got to make one series before it got cancelled, but I have just watched the first episode of the “new” Aaron Sorkin show on MoreFour and it was absolutely brill. Obviously my love of West Wing would pre-dispose me to saying that, but just to prove the point, here are the opening few minutes of the show, which are absolutely electrifying.

P.S. And Jon, because I know the comment is coming, I haven’t watched The Wire yet… I’ve managed to find time to watch one episode. I know you said you need to get into it, so I am trying to find an evening where I can sit down and break the back of it and watch three or four.
Make sure you watch the first few with the subtitles on as it takes a while to adjust to the accents.
I guarantee that after a few episodes you will be wanting to model yourself on Jimmy Mcnulty. Keep an eye out for him crashing into a bridge, and also having to stop the Bunk from setting fire to his own clothes.
